Years ago in Spain, there lived a wealthy father loved his daughter very much. He knew his daughter was beautiful and smart so he found three men so she could choose her husband among them. The daughter looked at all the three men but instead of choosing one, she replied to her father, ‘”I want to marry all of them.”

Her father was surprised, he never expected such answer. He replied, “No, you could choose only one.” When his daughter showed no signs of giving up, he at last decided to test the three men himself so he could find the best one to marry his daughter.

The father told the three men to go on a journey and find the most precious object they could discover that could win his daughter’s heart. The three men set out in three different directions with no set goal.

The first man was travelling through desert when he came across an old man selling a mirror. The man was hesitant because what use a mirror would be to him. The old man said this mirror can show him anybody he wants to see no matter the distance they are at. The man got interested on hearing this and brought the mirror.

While the second man stumbled across an abandoned street and found an old man selling a bottle of oil. At first the man had no interest in it but when the old man told him this bottle of oil could bring back a person from death, he stopped. The old man stopped a funeral passing by and opened the coffin where lay a pale lifeless man.

The old man took out the bottle of oil and dropped a single drop on the dead man lips. To everyone’s surprise, the next second, lifeless man opened his eyes. The man came back alive! He became convinced and purchased the oil without hesitation.

The third man was wandering around the port and boarded a small boat filled with passengers to travel the sea. The old man who was sitting on his side and began talking about selling a boat. He wanted to refuse when the old man began explaining his boat can take anyone anywhere in a short moment of time.

The third man purchased the boat and met the other two men to compare the gifts. As they were talking, the first man took out the mirror to see the wealthy’s man’s daughter but he was horrified to find the young woman had died and now is lying in a coffin which will be buried soon.

The third man used his boat to take the three of them to her funeral and the second man used the bottle of oil to bring the young woman back to life. Her father told her everything when she woke up and the she happily told him she wanted to all three men.
